Dr. Steven Miletto
Steve is the voice/interviewer for Teaching Learning Leading K12. He is in his 31st year of serving public school communities throughout the state of Georgia. He has been a history teacher, assistant principal, and high school principal. He currently is the Executive Director of the Heart of Georgia RESA (Regional Educational Service Agency). In 2009, he was recognized as the GASSP (Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals) Georgia Principal of the Year and in 2010 as one of three finalists for the NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals)/MetLife National Principal of the Year. Also, in 2009, he was recognized as a Hero for Social Justice by the Ben Marion Institute for Social Justice and in 2007 he received the Atlanta Braves/AT&T Educator of the Year Award.
His educational training included several colleges, but concluded with his EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. He also was trained through the Coalition of Essential Schools, SREB's High Schools That Work, Learning Focused Schools, The CollegeBoard, as well as others.
He is a fan of leadership writers John Maxwell, Patrick Lencioni, Daniel Pink, and Seth Godin. He is an avid podcast follower. He currently listens to many different programs like House of EdTech with Chris Nesi, The Google Teacher Tribe Podcast with Kasey Bell & Matt Miller, Podcast PD with Stacey Lindes, AJ Bianco, and Chris Nesi, My Ed Expert with Suzi Pepper Rollins, Akimbo with Seth Godin, Business Done Differently with Jesse Cole, Leo Laporte's This Week in Tech, Video Creators with Tim Schmoyer, Mark Dawson's Self-Publishing Formula, The EntreLeadership Podcast with Dave Ramsey, Read to Lead with Jeff Brown and Lead to Win with Michael Hyatt. Of course, he also listens to some just for fun podcasts like Stuck in te 80's, Atlanta Baseball Talk and The Techno Retro Dads.
