Dr. Steven Miletto
Steve is the voice/interviewer for Teaching Learning Leading K12. He is in his 33rd year of serving public school communities throughout the state of Georgia. He has been a history teacher, assistant principal, and high school principal. He currently is the Executive Director of the Heart of a RESA (Regional Educational Service Agency). In 2009, he was recognized as the GASSP (Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals) Georgia Principal of the Year and in 2010 as one of three finalists for the NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Principals)/MetLife National Principal of the Year. Also, in 2009, he was recognized as a Hero for Social Justice by the Ben Marion Institute for Social Justice and in 2007 he received the Atlanta Braves/AT&T Educator of the Year Award.
His educational training included several colleges, but concluded with his EdD in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. He also was trained through the Coalition of Essential Schools, SREB's High Schools That Work, Learning Focused Schools, The CollegeBoard, as well as others.
He is a fan of leadership writers John Maxwell, Patrick Lencioni, Daniel Pink, and Seth Godin. He is an avid podcast follower.
